At Skudo1 we foresee a world where all data communication (especially those in the critical infrastructures, space and government applications) are protected, encrypted and safe. We believe that within Europe we must use European-made cyber security technologies and especially encryption.

Skudo is focusing on Cybersecurity solutions based on pure hardware encryption, rather than software, as this guarantees the highest level of security for our customers. We have developed our own Hardware Security Module (HSM2) on a chip, using FPGA3 technology, entirely verifiable and made in Europe. Our main product is a physical computing device that safeguards and manages digital keys for strong encryption, authentication and provides advanced cryptoprocessing capabilities. It allows building complex solutions and producing custom products (PCB) around it.

Our HSM is fully functional and we are now going to market with it. It is designed and assembled completely in Europe. Most importantly (compared to all competitors who are all based on blind trust) it is completely verifiable (meaning there is no risk of unknown back-doors) by independent third parties (universities or private Cybersecurity companies).
Our flagship product is aimed for those customers who highly value the security of their static data and their data communication, such as high-end drone solutions, machine-to-machines industrial applications, space and government communication, etc.

Using their custom HSM chip, Skudo design and build fully customized solutions (fully assembled end-user products/PCBs), including the software interfaces (API and documentation) for any kind of encrypted data transfer. They create custom designs for diverse areas of operation, wherever the highest level of security and privacy is needed, e.g. for IoT, mission-critical or drone applications etc.

  • Space Related Sector
    Currently, we signed a procurement contract with ESA which involves the demonstration of a newly developed asymmetric PKI (CCSDS compatible) running together with our HSM/FPGA chip in HAPS conditions (using a meteo balloon flying at 25Km). We will demo the end2end encrypted TM link using a simple 144 MHz radio modem link.
