Lift Me Off aims to provide the necessary innovation to ensure that the growth in Space remains safe and sustainable by making satellites adaptable and reconfigurable for multiple missions, as well as movable, repairable & recoverable. In order reach these goals they are enabling new methods of transporting, refuelling, repairing & recovering satellites on-orbit.
In 1957 mankind sent the first object into Space. Today the number of these objects in Space has grown exponentially providing new societal benefits. In the next decade the amount of satellites launched is expected to increase ten-fold.
Unfortunately most satellites launched today are:
– Designed for a single application
– Cannot be moved, repaired, recovered or refuelled
This leads to a continuos accumulation of uncontrollable objects in space posing an increased threat. This approach is simply not an option. LIFT ME OFF aims to provide the necessary innovation to ensure that the growth in Space remains safe and sustainable by making satellites:
– Adaptable and reconfigurable for multiple missions
– Movable, repairable & recoverable
In order reach these goals we are developing technologies & services in the fields of Propulsion and Artificial Intelligence enabling new methods of Transporting, Refuelling, Repairing & Recovering satellites on-orbit.
We do this by:
– Providing Propulsion for Accurate In-Space Movements & Proximity Operations
– Computer Vision to Track Satellite Behaviour
