Description
CEDRION provides refrigerating solutions to the new demands in the electronics industry. CEDRION design and produce refrigeration devices for on-board electronics, based on the Corona Discharge Effect. The devices are 10x more efficient than present cooling technologies and can extend the useful life of high-power on-board electronics by 30%, allowing on-board electronic equipment to have a better performance and reduce its maintenance costs.
CEDRION, recently finished its incubation in the European Space Agency Business Incubation Centre (ESA-BIC) program, provides refrigerating solutions to the new demands in the electronics industry. More specifically, CEDRION -which has an international patent requested since April 2019 on its technology- designs and produces refrigeration devices for on-board electronics, based on the Corona Discharge Effect. These devices, which are 10 times more efficient than present cooling technologies (heatsink, fan-assisted heatsink and thermoelectric) and do not have any moving parts, can extend the useful life of high-power on-board electronics by 30%, allowing on-board electronic equipment to have a better performance and reduce its maintenance costs.
In fact, currently, one of the main technological challenges is to increase the efficiency of cooling systems for high-power electronic equipment. These demands are even more urgent on aeronautical sector, where it is necessary to provide innovative technological solutions on a continuous basis to meet the high market demands.
This technology has catched the eye of Airbus, and now CEDRION is part of the season 5 of its acceleration program BIZLAB in Madrid Site.
